Evert Lansing collection, 1772-1773.

Autograph letter and an order to pay, both signed by Evert Lansing, dated 1772 and 1773, respectively. Letter is a plaintive appeal to Lansing's uncle Philip Wendell of Albany for financial assistance: "I have had but three mals [sic] in five days to eat and most ded [sic] of hunger..." Order is addressed to Mr. Abraham Wendell to pay John Corbin five pounds fifteen shillings.
